FieldEazy (“FieldEazy,” “we,” “us”) provides a field-service management and accounting platform used by businesses to run their operations and books. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices — including how we handle financial account information you connect through Plaid.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the FieldEazy web and mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). The Service is used by businesses and their authorized personnel; it is not directed to the general consumer public or to children under 13.
2. Information We Collect
- Account & profile data: name, email, role, and login credentials of authorized users.
- Business operational data: customers, work orders, estimates, invoices, timesheets, vendors, and related records you enter or generate in the Service.
- Financial account information (via Plaid): when you choose to connect a bank or financial account, we receive — through Plaid — account details (e.g., account name, mask, balances) and transaction data, for the purpose of bookkeeping, categorization, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Payroll data (where enabled): processed through Gusto; sensitive employee identifiers (e.g., full SSN, bank details) remain with the payroll provider and are not stored by FieldEazy.
- Technical & usage data: log data, device/browser information, and activity necessary to operate and secure the Service.
3. How We Collect It — and Plaid’s Role
We collect most information directly from you and your authorized users. Financial account data is collected only when you connect an account through Plaid Link, which obtains your explicit consent at the time of connection. Plaid securely connects to your financial institution on your behalf and provides the data to us. Plaid’s handling of your information is governed by Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. You may revoke a connection at any time (see §7).
4. How We Use Information
We use the information to: provide and operate the Service; perform bookkeeping, transaction categorization, reconciliation, and financial reporting; process payroll and payments where enabled; support, secure, and improve the Service; and comply with legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal or financial information.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, with vetted subprocessors under contractual confidentiality and security obligations:
- Plaid — bank/financial data connectivity
- Supabase — database and authentication (encrypted storage)
- Railway — application hosting (backend)
- Vercel — application hosting (frontend)
- Gusto — payroll processing (where enabled)
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data Security
We protect information using: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest (AES-256 in our database), additional application-layer encryption (“sealing”) of financial-connection access tokens, role-based access control and least-privilege authorization, secrets management, two-factor authentication for user logins (where enabled), and MFA on administrative/infrastructure access. 7. Your Choices & Rights
- Disconnect a bank account:you can disconnect a connected financial account at any time; upon disconnection we revoke the connection with Plaid and delete the associated stored access tokens (see our Data Retention & Deletion Policy).
- Access, correct, or delete: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and tax record-keeping requirements.
- Consent: connecting a financial account is voluntary and consent-based; you may decline or withdraw consent by not connecting or by disconnecting.

8. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. See our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
